7 Northeast Films Nominated for 2015 WIFF Screenings

The 3rd edition of Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF), to be held from September 17,  has shortlisted 7 films for its special segment on North East this year.

These include four films from Assam, one from Meghalaya and two from New Delhi.

2. A River Island Tale (directed by Porag Jyoti Gogoi)
3. The Devil inside me (directed by Raja Narzary)
4. Sita (directed by Kangkan Deka)
5. The Thin Red Ribbon (directed by Ishani K Dutta)
6. Khoh ki Bo (directed by Gautam Syiem)
7. Nagaland is changing but…(directed by Gurmeet Sapal)

Known for its special focuses on social related cinema genres, the Woodpecker Film Festival and Forum encourages debate and discussion on social, ecological and development subjects.

The four-day film festival will screen 68 documentaries and short films from 21 cities spread across 15 states.
