Budget airline AirAsia will offer daily flight services to Imphal from Guwahati starting this June 25.
To celebrate the launch of its second route in the NorthEast region after Guwahati-Delhi service, the Malaysian low cost carrier is offering inaugural fares from as low as Rs 900 via online booking till 7 June, 2015 for travel from 25 June to May 31 next year.
In a release, AirAsia India chief executive Mitty Chandilya was quoted saying, “The capital city of Manipur is a market with huge potential and we are certain this route will further stimulate and encourage affordable air travel. The positive feedback we have been receiving from our guests on our product and services has been very encouraging as we continue to expand our network.”
AirAsia India, which started its network in India last June, currently operates in 10 Indian destionations including Delhi, Vishakhapatnam, Imphal, Guwahati, Kochi, Goa, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune and Bengaluru.

Imphal International Airport, the third largest airport in the region after Guwahati and Agartala is a hub to domestic Airlines including Air India, IndiGo, Jet Airways, JetKonnect, and North East Shuttle.
