AirAsia India has announced that it is commencing flights out of the capital to Guwahati starting May 21, 2015 and is betting on North East as the next big destination for air travel.
Budget carrier has now upped the ante in India’s airfare war and come up with super-low fares campaign where it is offering 50 per cent off on base fares.
According to Business Today, the domestic arm of the Malaysian airline AirAsia which launched its services in February 2013 in 49:30:21 partnerships with Tata group and Arun Bhatia’s Telestra TradePlace is offering an all-inclusive fares of as low as Rs 1,500 for the New Delhi-Guwahati sector.
The offer is valid till 24 May, and tickets can be booked for travel from 1 September 2015 – 31 March 2016.
A month ago, Air Asia India launched flights from Bangalore to Chennai and Goa at advance booking fares as low as Rs 490 and Rs 990. It also announced a daily service route to Kochi from Bangalore with promotional seat being offered at Rs 500.
Former The Apprentice Asia 2013 finalist Ningku Lachungpa from Sikkim is currently working as Head of Ancillary Revenue of the Airline.
