A team of three students from NPS International School, Guwahati, clinched the ‘Championship Medal’ in a robotic workshop contest organised by NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida (USA) on October 24.
After the completion of three-day workshop on “How To Make a Lunar Rover” mentored by the astronauts at NASA. Over a hundred selected students from across the globe, enrolled in the workshop, were then asked to develop artificial lunar surfaces using the rover wireless with the help of a camera on board. The model prepared by the students of the Guwahati-based school was declared the winner.
The school team was represented by Imtiren Imchen (Class VII), Sumit Boro (Class IX) and Harsh Narayan (Class IX), Jitendra Nath Das, director of NPS International School told the Assam Tribune.
