The first international flight Golden Myanmar has landed at Tulihal International Airport, Imphal today. The flight originating from Mandalay made an historic landing with 180 passengers on board, including Chief Ministers of Sagaing and Mandalay regions of Myanmar, four Ministers and officials and people of Meitei community residing at Mandalay to attend the Sangai Festival 2013.
The flight arrived at Imphal Airport at 10 am and departed on the same day. The same airliner would land at Imphal Airport for the second time on November 24 and ferry back the Myanmarese delegates.
As of now, the DGCA has not approved landing of any other international flights at Imphal Airport except the chartered flight of Golden Myanmar.
