Gurgaon based duo designers brand Lecoanet Hemant, work their innovating magic into a new collection for Spring Summer 2013, blending contemporary chic outfits with timeless elegance. Inspired by the endlessly rewarding beauty of ‘Nagaland and its indigenous culture’, the collection strikes a chord between effervescent fashion and sustainability.
Their newest Spring Summer Collection 2013, is an Ode to the Indigenous Culture of Nagaland — pattern, form and shape with a strong unique aesthetic.
The Lecoanet Hemant’s inspirational Naga wrap, is a mix between a traditional lungi and a skirt crafted with silk and satinated cotton combined with soft pastel hues, where the front flap is embroidered and forms a frontal vertical drape.
The collection comprises of a range of styles like dresses, shirts, skirts and trousers. It refracts a traditional Naga Diamond motif through dresses, skirts, bound and harnessed with urban jackets and blouses. For their Spring Collection 2013, the brand decided to pick Nagaland on a ground reality compliment, to translate Lecoant Hemant’s deep-seated affection for India while creating a feminine confidence.
