Manipuri native wins Taiwan National Body Building Championship 2013

Dr.Ngangbam Shantikumar Meetei has won the Taiwan National Body Building Championship 2013 held in Taichung City, Taiwan (65kg category) again.

The former Mr.Asia and four-time Mr.Delhi have been qualified to participate in the upcoming IFBB Asian Championship 2013, to be held in Kazakhstan this June, which will make his 8th debut entry to the Senior Asian Championship.

He have also been preparing for his moment in this year’s World Body Building Championship which will be held in Greece in the month of July.

Born in Manipur, into a meitei hindu family and he studied his college graduation from DM College of Arts and Commerce, Imphal.  Later he completed his Master, M. Phil and Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He had represented his origin country (India) numerous times in the past.

According to a local report, due to the issues of discrimination and his personal discourse with Indian Body Building & Fitness Federation (IBBF) made him moved to Taiwan, where he is happily settled down with his family.  The English professor had also changed his religion, nationality to Taiwanese and his name from Ngangbam Shantikumar Singh to Ngangbam Shantikumar Meetei.
