Former Michael Jackson’s guitarist to perform in Nagaland

The former Michael Jackson’s guitarist Jennifer Batten along with K3M (the official house band) and AOF is all set to headline the Mount Tiyi Music Festival, scheduled on November 12 at the Town Hall, Wokha town of Nagaland.

According to Morung Express, the renowned female guitarist will perform popular songs from Michael Jackson’s hits accompanied by K3M and in honour of her maiden visit; there will be a ceremonial planting of trees along with the Green Foundation, Wokha as part of an environmental and ecological awareness drive.

The Wokha event is hosted by Aisle’s Music Foundation Wokha in association with Sky Entertainment, while School of Rock Kohima is said to conduct a Masterclass guitar clinic with her at Hotel Vivor, Kohima on November 11.

Jennifer Batten was the guitar player on Michael Jackson’s Bad (1987–1989), Dangerous (1992–1993) and History (1996–1997) world tours, and she has also worked with British guitar legend, Jeff Beck, for several years. Besides that, she has three studio albums to her credit and also authored two music books – Hal Leonard’s ‘Two Hand Rock’ and ‘The Transcribed Guitar Solos of Peter Sprague’.
