A Naga student cleared IFS, MPSC and UPSC Examinations in one year

Shanngam Shaliwo has cleared three competitive exams for the year 2013. He first cleared IFS (Indian Forest Service) 2013 conducted by UPSC in January 2014, followed by Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) in April 2014 and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) last week.

He hails from Khamasom Phungrei, a Tangkhul Naga village in Manipur and he is the eldest among the four siblings of Ramthing and Ngaluchung Shaliwo.

Despite his poor academic records in schools/colleges, he was able to have cracked the toughest examination held in the country by securing its 1100 ranking position. Read the Interview with him to get to know more about his story.

3. Graduated from Ramjas College (New Delhi) with 3rd div.
