Pumwaree Yodkamol, the lead actress from the action packed movie Ong-Bak accompanied by the producer and director Jassiam-Krith Boonprapruet, actors David Asavanond and Kovit Wattanakul among others came and witnessed the recently concluded Hornbill Festival held at Kisama, reported Nagaland Post.
The Nagaland trip for the thai team was arranged by Tharadol Thongruang (minister counsellor, Thai Embassy, New Delhi), who is an avid admirer and a keen promoter of Naga culture abroad. The ‘Handshake Concert 2011’ held in Bangkok was under his tutelage.
Jassiam-Krith expressed his keen interest in filming in Nagaland with the plot based on Naga folklore and lifestyle involving the martial art actor Tony Jaa of the Ong Bak fame in the lead role. Appreciating the rich culture, traditions and the scenic beauty of the state, he stated that the Thai movie industry would love to work with Nagas if the script could be woven under the Action/Drama genre.
