Whistling his sentiments the Bollywood ‘Rocky Handsome’ star says it is rather sad that the North East region has been completely ‘alienated’ geographically and historically from the rest of the country, with a majority of Indians having little knowledge about the region.
The 43-year old actor John Abraham from Mumbai has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Arunachal Pradesh Tourism last week says when he was approached and offered to be the face of India’s first rising sun state, he accepted it readily as a ‘blessing in disguise’ as it is the region he supports and loved the most.
Northeast United FC co-owner is now keen to shoot films in the region and has already spoken to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu about it.
“It is important to bring the NE region into the mindsets of mainland public and inform them that this place is beautiful and has everything that we look for. I would really like to back talent in films from there just the way I do it for my football team. Not necessarily in front of the camera but also behind the camera” says the actor profoundly.
