Former SFL champion Issac wins his debut fight in US

Issac Kario won his first fight in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) at the Emerald Queen Casino – CageSports battle series in the US, beating Arjay Murphy to earn his 2nd round TKO victory. Although his opponent had broke his left arm with the fight’s first kick, Issac managed to pull up with a unanimous comeback and knocked down his opponent with a hammer fist to the ground in the final round on February 8.

He is the first ever champion of India’s Super Fight League 2012 (SFL) and also possibly the only professional freestyle fighter from Northeast India.

A native of Mao-Naga community from Manipur, who later on moved to Washington (USA) on the advice of his coach and former UFC veteran Dennis Hall.  He studied at St.Joseph’s, Tadubi and St. Joseph’s College in Jakhama, Nagaland.
