Eight St. Stephen’s alumni contested in Nagaland polls

Eight candidates who had contested in the Nagaland Assembly Elections on February 23, studied at Delhi’s St Stephen’s College, which is considered to be the best college in the country.

32-year-old and the state’s youngest candidate Merentoshi R Jamir (In pic with his wife), graduated in philosophy honours from Stephen’s in 2002. His father, Nagaland’s chief secretary Alemtemshi Jamir, is also a graduate of Stephen’s.

Other Stephen’s alumni include Rusemtong Longkumer, Banou Z Jamir, Jacob Zhimomi, Mmhonlumo Kikon, Khiaminlun and Khekiho Zhimomi.
