Stranger in My Land: A documentary on racial profiling released

Stranger in my Land, written and directed by Duyu Tabyu, is a 15-minute-long documentary film starring Boby Techi, exploring the way racial stereotypes influence faced by citizens belonging to the Northeastern states of India.

The film tries to portray the ignorance of the mainland Indians towards the culture, people and presence of the Northeastern region and explains the existence of racism prevailing in the Indian society, and the undeniable racial profiling melted upon the people of NE region and its origins. Stranger in my land really gave the audience quite a stir as it revealed the most shocking and heartbreaking reality.

Released through the indie labels – CoreConxept and Padi Genda Picture, is also now available for free streaming on YouTube.
