Here’s the list of few Bollywood film makers who made exceptional decisions and choose to get their Hindi movies shot in the Northeast. In the past, there have been other Hindi Blockbuster films which were set in the Northeast but got filmed somewhere else, including Dil Se (1998), Tango Charlie (2005), Bum Bum Bole (2010) and Mary Kom (2014).

According to Industry sources, despite great locations in the region, what has kept Bollywood away from picking the Northeast is due to bad roads, short-sighted policies and poor facilities for filmmaking.
